Welcome back to my blog, in this blog I will explain about Invitation Card.

First, INVITATION is an invitation form one person to another to attend an event, activity, meeting, graduation, school farewell or someone's birthday celebration. In making an invitation, we must pay attention to the design and writing model used.

Definition of Invitation Card

Invitation is a spoken or written request to somebody to do something or to go somewhere.

Purpose of Invitation Card

The purpose of Invitation is to invite or persuade someone to be attend at certain events. 

Generic Structure of Invitation Card

1. Invite
2. Body of invitation

a. Occasion: Undangan ini dibuat untuk acara apa

b. Day or Date: Hari dan tanggal

c. Time: Waktu yang ditetapkan

d. Place: Tempat yang diharapkan kehadirannya para undangan   

    

    3. Inviter

Some common expressions used to make an invantion :

1. FORMAL INVITATION

Definition of Formal Invitation :

Formal Invitation (undangan resmi) usually issued by an agency or company. This Formal Invitation is generally indicated by the abbreviation "RSVP" at the bottom of the invitation.

RSVP is the French abbreviation or Répondez S'il Vous Plait (Respond please/please reply) in Indonesia which means "Tolong Tanggapi/ Jawab".

Purpose of Formal Invitation :

Invite someone to attend a certain event in a formal or formal situation.

Cinta    : Hi Dinda, who will get merried? I see the wedding invitation on the table.

Dinda    : Oh, that’s Johnathan and Cindy wedding invitation. They will get merried this week in The Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

Cinta      : I see, will you attend to their wedding?

Dinda    : That’s the problem. I have to go to London tomorrow for the project in my company. I’m sad when I knew that I couldn’t come. They are my best friends since I was in senior high school.

Cinta      : I think they can understand why you can’t come to their wedding.

Dinda    : I hope so.

2. INFORMAL INVITATION

Definition of Informal Invitation :

Informal Invitation is a personal invitation given to a friend, family, etc.

example of Informal Invitation :This is an Example of dialogue : 

Dinda : Would you be interested in coming to my birthday party this Saturday?

Cinta : Of course! What time?

Dinda : at 8 pm. don’t be late! And don’t forget the dress code!

Cinta : what should I wear?

Dinda : cover your face with the most mysterious mask.

Cinta : Wow, that would be very exciting. Would you like me to bring something for the gift?

Dinda : No, thanks.
